is any 1 facing a problem when you try 2 radio some one other than colonel.as soon as i radio,it hangs there.the music is playing but nothin happens.Any1 got any idea??this happens when i am raiden..so i am stuck now..had cleared a lot of poriton without saving but evetually got stuch when raiden talks 2 aimes...

To clarify, you can't call Rose in order to save? Is it possible for you to proceed past the cutscene with Ocelot and then save, or are you having problems doing anything other than calling Campbell?

i cant call ny1...neither rose,neither snake,neither ninja...so i tried playing till rose calls me and asks me 2 save but after i meet aimes the 1st time and ocelot is watchin us.when he call's us 2talk privately on nanophone,dat time the game hangs.music is goin on but nuthn happens..i tried 2 keep the game on so i kept it 4 1hr but nuthn happend..any suggestion..the game is burnt on Princo cd @ a speeed of 4x..

From what I've read, average suggested write speed is 1x, so perhaps by writing it at 4x it allowed that error to come in. While playing MGS2 I've never run into that problem, nor have I heard of anyone else having that problem from the normal disk, so it seems most likely it's from the high write speed. Perhaps try writing it again at a lower speed and find a gamesave that's close to that area?

The thing is that i got this game from a torrent site.i made a cd previously on a MOSER BEER DVD which used 2 hang when u start a game.then i did it on PRINCO then i could play it but this is what's happenin.so i think the problem might be in the Quality cd because MOSER BEER AND PRINCO are 3rd class media if u have read other thread where it comments regarding the Brands of cd which should be used.

Maybe try using Nero or Alcohol 120%? It seems most people like Sony DVD_RW, but there was another brand mentioned as well, and I can't remember.

i tried a lot to search for SONY DVD-R OR DVD-RW.but i cant find it,i mean there is no stock of it.there is only DVD+R which i have no clue what is the difference between DVD+R and DVD-R.so what i have is maxell DVD+R or princo DVD-R.

I think DVD+R is can be used multiple times as opposed to just one write, but at the expense of stability, much of the time it will fail to work due to the multiple writes.

for burning, use verbatim or taiyo yuden cds/dvds. they are one of the top brands. also, burn at a slow speed, 1x or 2x

where i live der is no -r dvd..i can only get princo -r..so i used this .
