As teh title says is that possible, because i've read first you have to update the 3.60 to 3.60 M33 and then 3.71 M33?

Or can it be done direct from 3.60 to 3.71 M33?

Because I've just had mine done direct from 3.60 to 3.71 M33, and I was sure i've read it cant be done.. and has ot be done to 3.60 M33 first.. so am a bit worried does that mean my psp is messed up :O

Also for some reason I had my stick in it and connect via usb and put psptube on it.. i created a folder called ISO i think and pu it in there.. and then for some reason it coudlnt' dedect the stick no more? what could be the cause?

Thanks

You shouldn't be worried. You have done a successful upgrade to a CFW from 3.60!I don't think there should be any problems with your PSP.Although I'm sure aswell that it's impossible.I guess you're just lucky.But...3.71M33 is a disappointment...To FAT PSPs anyways.Have fun with your modded Slim :D

the 1.50 kernel is missing from the 3.71 m33 on fat psp's. not all homebrews will work on the firmware. but it will be coming out, eventually.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

if you're running iso's only, then it's just configuration. but if you're running homebrews or emulators, then that will pop up if it's configured for the 1.50 kernel.

for the ideal configuration of running iso/cso:

-cpu speed to 300 or 333
-use sony np9660 driver
-all advanced options disabled

you can change them in the recovery mode. turn off the psp fully, and then turn it on while holding the r button.

NOw which one would that be cos there "speed in XMB" or "speed in UMD/ISO"?

And i've read that this can brick your psp doing this? possible or not

Changing your CPU speed bricks?Never heard of that.Keep them at default and you'll have a good, hacked , slim PSP.

My 3.52M33-4 in default works absolutely fine.If you think it needs to be at 300ish then put it there. If you think it's the safest way then do it.Changing CPU speed shouldn't brick your PSP.Have fun :)

Changing CPU speed will NOT brick your PSP.

The PSP was designed to run at 333 MHz, and newer retail games like God of War: Chains of Olympus will clock normal PSPs at 333 MHz to run.

So don't worry about running your PSP at 333 MHz, it's something that new games will have all PSPs running at, it's not some dangerous hack.
