if you have a direct umd movie rip, then you will need to run custom firmware. 3.52 m33-4 is very stable, and has a built in umd ripper.
if it's just a movie, then you can just run them from the xmb, but i haven't tried running movies on the psp, so i can't give advice on where to place them.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

umm video iso's for 3.52 M33-4 go into ms0:/ISO/VIDEO and i read that only iso files work, so u cant compreses video isos to cso. if u wanna play videos (.mpeg, mp4 etc.) then u gotta conver them to mpeg4 i think. or w.e file is needed...use psp video 9 or 3GP converter to do that.

i just bought a slim psp and i already got CFW 3.71 M33-2 installed.
i placed a umd video iso in the folder ISO/VIDEO. in the VSH menu, i can select the the video iso at "ISO VIDEO MOUNT". The problem is, how do i play that video iso? Is there anything else i need to configure? I tried to go to the video section but only my memory stick can be detected.
Please help me.

If you mounted it correctly, when you go to video, it should look as if you have the actual UMD in the PSP.

No! You can't do this on 3.40 OE-A. This was a new feature for 3.52 M33-4 so any OE-A's won't have it.

Well there probably is, but not just by opening up the ISO file. Look for something on the web to convert it because the files in the ISO aren't file WMP or Quicktime can read.

Make sure you have the ISO in the X:\ISO\VIDEO folder and make sure you have a UMD in the drive to emulate. That's all I can suggest.

I have tried with a game UMD and with a video UMD, I have changed the emulation to NONE and to any other driver, still the UMD VIDEO MODE wont change from NONE, the iso is inside the ISO\VIDEO folder, I am running 3.90m33-2
Still dont know whats going on. I even installed IRSHell and froze.

Press SELECT to bring up the "VSH MENU".
If it doesn't, go into recovery mode by holding the power switch up to do a full shut down. Then hold down the right trigger (hold the right and left trigger on FAT)and turn on the PSP, highlight "CONFIGURATION" press X, highlight "USE VSH MENU" and press X so that it says "CURRENTLY:ENABLED" even if it already says it switch it to "CURRENTLY:DISABLED" and then switch it back. Then highlight "BACK" press X, Highlight "EXIT" press X. Now try to bring up the VSH MENU by pressing SELECT.
Highlight "ISO VIDEO MOUNT NONE", press left or right on the D-pad. You should see you video's name where it says "NONE", then highlight "EXIT" and press X.
That should do it. If doing this still doesn't work for ya, then I've never heard of your problem before. Oh, and I'm running 3.90 M33-2 and this also worked when I had 2.71 M33. :)
