So, I have a new Slim since 3 weeks ago. Today I found out that a kid in my class knows all about HB and how to downgrade and all of that jazz.
So if he installs CFW on my Slim, since he has that battery thing, what do I need to know about putting games and applications on my PSP? And I know there are new versions of CFW every so often, so how do I upgrade mine once a new version comes out? is it complicated???
And this friend has downgraded about 7 different PSPs already with no bricks so far. Plus, I have the Best Buy warranty, so I'm not worried at all.....

So, can you experts help a noob out???
THANKS!!!!!!

1st let ur friend put the firmware on your psp and give him this link in case he gets stuck :))

then if you are surfing etc. and find out about a new firmware ask about it here and every1 here will be more than happy to either thrash it or tell you its made by the hands of god

then when u get ur ans. just make a new post asking for step by step help on how to upgrade (include ype of psp i.e fat slim and the firmware you have and the firmware u want) and member of staff will return your call shortly.

dude putting games on your psp is as easy as vomiting during oprahs close ups. you create the usb connection then drag and drop your game into the iso folder. for appz and emulators just create a post and ask around, u'll get the times when things just wont work on your specific firmware ver.

other than that keep it gospel homey

Okay, sounds good. After I talk to him today, I'll come back here.
Also, since he has the battery thing, is there ANY way my Slim would get bricked???

their is always a slim chance of bricking a psp, but for that slim chance their is a great chance that it can be fixed.

besides he wont open the psp so just take it back to the shop looking ignorant and teary eyed if it gets bricked.... or walk in with a gun, that'll do it.

Since he has downgraded 7-10 PSP Fats successfully, is it the same thing to downgrade a Slim with the battery??? He wasn't sure if it was EXACTLY the same procedure. If it's not, can you give me a few directions for me to tell him what to do??
Also, how do I go about installing CFW themes and games onto my CFW PSP??? Can you guys give me some links or something, or just simply tell me how... And what's the story behind eboots??? Explanation, PLEASE!!

Thanks for the help so far!!!!!

that's my psp slim in the above link. it's now at 3.71 m33-2.

go HERE and look for universal unbricker v3; can't miss it, it's in green text. you still need a custom firmware psp to make the magic memory stick.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .
