Playing Ps2 Backups with no mod chip

OK right my friend want 2 play ps2 backups on his ps2 (duh) but i need 2 know is there a way to play backups without having a mod chip?
BUT i have a mod chip and action replay max evo so i can use my pen drive 4 things if needed!??? PLZ HELP!

You need a modchip. There is no way to play backed up games without a modchip, so stop dreaming.

well i live in melbourne australia and as far as i know you cant buy swap magic or ar max evo or gameshark or any disk like that :( and i cant get it off ebay either or any online store for that matter. please dont ask why. simply i dont like credit cards bla bla bla etc.

Swap Magic= a boot disc that will load the ps2 code into your ps2. Once loaded you open your ps2 via flip top then load your backup copy then press x to start the game. Just google it up its worth buying.

YOU DO NOT NEED A MOD CHIP. There is always the mem card exploit. If you already have ar max and a mod chip in one PS2 then you are set you won't need to buy anything else to mod his PS2. Just put the exploit on your friends mem card and he can play backups. It's not quite that simple but pretty close (neee 1 PS1 game to boot the exploit and 1 High TOC original DVD (and cd if needed) to swap with the backup). It's what I use and all 150+ of my backups work/play fine.

Just goto exploitstation.com and you will find all that's needed for this there. Also check here at afterdawn for info. Look for the Independence Exploit.
