If ISO's don't even work I think you may have corrupted firmware. Try to update to 3.71 M33-3. When you do, make sure you install the 1.50 kernel support. You can install Popsloader but its not necessary. I'm not exactly sure what that is either, if someone can help me on that. Post back if you need help on that.

Only other things I can think of is that either you need to switch NO-UMD mode on, Try the region code things in the recovery menu, or your memory stick is going bad. Check your memory stick by going hitting Triangle and selecting Info. Does it say Magic Gate supported?

Where did you get the memory stick and what brand is it? You may be able to get your existing memory stick replaced under warranty. I use a Sandisk right now and its been working fine for me. Try Amazon.com, they usually have 4GB ones for around $40-50.

the person i bought the psp from told me he bought it on ebay. it does say sony on the memory stick though but who knows these are going for like 9 bucks on ebay right now so you can probably tell. ill try to get a 1 gb to make sure that its the memory stick and not something else. hopefully it will work.

Let us know how it goes after you get a new memory stick. And if it was bought from ebay, its probably fake.

Yea, i bet the memory stick was fake or just partially corrupted. Now, if the old memory stick you have is the same one as the new one, you could just take it back to gamestop and tell them it doesn't work.

@ martbeast: You PSP can now play game images from the memory stick and PS1 games and homebrew software.
@ angel619: I think the image of your game is corrupted.

Hi core2kid i have a bit of a problem, I downloaded ff7 and I placed it in the psp/game folder but it still wont run, i have read what you posted before and i have done basically everything knives316 did; I have 3.71 m33-3 version and the memory is fine since it can also run other iso games.
The ff7 game i downloaded came with 3 folders for the 3 cd's that the game had and on each folder it contains a lot of zip folders with EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN files in them, don't really know if that affects the game in any way (sorry if the question is really dumb, im really new at this)
thanks for the help

Sorry but I do not have the answer to that. I have never really played FF7 on PSP. If you want you could compress the image and upload it to rapidshare or something and I will try to get it to work, I do own this game so it would not be illegal for me to download it.

True but If I had the other copy I could actually see whats wrong with that and probably fix it and re-upload it to rapidshare. I have actually never tried to convert FF7 to Eboot.
