I have a Xbox with a DuoX2 in it and I used AID 3.0 CD to install Unleashed as my dash., but I would like XBMC to boot instead of Unleashed. As of now, I have XBMC installed on my F: partition as an app. I don't want to take a chance of formatting my box. So is there an easy way to do this. My search results turned up several different options, but most referred to a box with a softmod. Does anyone have a simple suggestion?

If you have a mod chip, you should really be using "Slayers 2.7" iso. An Auto Installer Deluxe is mainly for softmod users, but you can still use it. The newest AID 4.10 can make XBMC your default dash without having to do it manually.

What are the advantages of "Slayers 2.7" over AID, why is it better than AID for a mod chiped box? Thanks

AID is better than a Slayers iso speaking in terms of emulators and apps but a slayers disc has the needed utilities that a mod chip requires, its like a boot disc. If some reason something would happen to your dashboard, your box could boot an iso fixing dashboard error codes but a softmoded wouldn't boot anything. The advantage of having one is mainly for its utilities. That?s the advantage of hardmodded xbox over a softmod. You can have as many AID discs as you may need and use them as you please, but its imperative that you have a slayers as well.

Hey I have Slayer 2.7 I am still having problems with my Xbox. I dont have a backup of my old xbox files but I heard slayers can fix that, I get error 13 a lot with slayers in the drive, and error 14 when I have no disc in the drive. I had it working at one point but tried to change the dashboard then got these issues. i can no longer FTP either. For some reason this is all I can think about it is driving me crazy!! Is there any place I can download the files I was supposed to back up? HELP!!!!

To fix error codes 13 and 14 your going to either hotswap or rebuild the hard drive. Slayers should be only used in a modchipped box, just to let you know. The tutorial states and provides the files you need.
