ok heres my problem i have a ps2 slimline and it runs good so one of my
friends gave me his swapmagic so i put it in i swapd it with a backup ps2 game and it loads REally SLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW i mean super slow and it freezes so i thought it was my game so i whent to my friends house and put swapmagic in his big ps2 and wapd it with the same backup game i put on my slim ps2 and the game rund perfectly so my question is what am i doing wrong why r my games running slow

Your DVD lens may be dirty. What time of disc is the game backed up on? Lower quality media puts a strain on the laser. Your laser could also be on its way out, and having trouble reading backups.

yeah but whats weird is that it will run normal ps2 games perfecly i mean no stoping only on backups it slows down and i tried cleaning my leans same problem still runs slow

Hmm, a lot of lasers have trouble running backups over regular games as backups are harder for the laser to read. Your lens may be weaker then his and that may cause the problem. There are ways to adjust the laser, if you google it you should be able to find how, that may help. A buddy of mine has a chip in his PS2 and it totally stopped reading backups, but it reads orignals fine for him to put them on his HDD, and we have never been able to figure out why it will not read a single backup, and everyone we have tried works on my PS2 flawlessly. We have adjusted his laser and cleaned the lens several times. Sorry i wasn't able to be of more help.
