Help restoring 3.30-oea to sony firmware

I am wanting to sell my psp. I had it at 3.30-oea, i am wanting to update it to the update from sony. I downgraded to 1.5 thinking it would be safer to update it but i downloaded the eboot from sony and when i ran the 3.71 update it said "the system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. the update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance." Is there any way i can get the PSP in selling firmware? I dont want to sell with a custom firmware. Any help would be great.

It can't be upgraded beyond 3.11 official sony fw, i bet ur psp is TA-082, to prove u can see from umd bay there is exposed part of the pcb at the upper right hand corner the upside down ic1003 text (if i'm not wrong) though from the unable of the psp to upgrade beyond 3.11 ofw all know urs is surely a TA-082 :), as what sony has done to not to allow the psp that has been downgraded to upgrade using the sony fw beyond 3.11 (not applied to TA-079 those older or earlier psp).So yeah man u can just use custom firmware to play latest games, though there are some way to repair the internal part of the psp (i'm not sure which part) but by all mean u need to spend more, which's unlikely considering u're going to sell ur psp off

ya its a TA-082, so whoever i sell it to will have to be okay with a custom firmware?

yup , unless he/she wants to pay more for some reparation to be able to go back to official firmware which again i don't think he/she wants. alternatively u can just give he/she the procedure how to upgrade the cfw in case the buyer is a noob to cfw but if it's pro in cfw well he wouldn't be happier :) to experiment with the psp. good luck

i put the eboot in psp/game/upgrade and it said it could not upgrade to an earlier firmware. then i put it in psp/game/recovery and it said that the data was corrupted (i ran it from the recovery menu) i think the 2.71 upgrade is different that the 2.71 recovery... i dunno?
