hey um i got an xbox from a friend and um how do u know if u have a modchip um welli cheked the inside and i seen some thing that looks that it has been installed but dont know if it's a modchip but it has alot of blue wires but other then that i dont know if it's a modchip? can someone help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With a mod chip installed you can do the following:
-Play copied/backup games
-FTP your Xbox to your computer, to backup and transfer file between them.
-Install your choice of Dashboard (XBMC, EvoX, UnleashX) I recommend XBMC.
-You can play divx/xvid movie file.
-Manage music and video file saved on your HDD.
-Install and play game Emulators (NES, NES 64, and super NES, ect.)
-You can change the theme of your dashboard.
These are just a few of the things you can do, there is much more. If your Xbox does not boot a hacked dashboard already. I would, like chunkhead said, find the AID disk or Slayers disk and it will allow you to set up everything you need you can download the manuals and it will walk you through the whole process, its easy. I like AID my self.
