which wuld be better cfw or 1.5 and is there a way of downgrading with just one psp(v 2.81)

I am a SERIOUS noob, and have no idea what to do, as I have official firmware. I just updated from the Sony webby and now have 3.72 firmware. It's the fat PSP. Is there anyway i can get custom firmware for this?

@lezla-u can downgrade it with one psp n the best cfw r8 now is 3.71M33-3.
@ITrocks-use pandora to go to 1.5 but u will need another psp tht is running a cfw to do it.

wht ver the other psp??if lower than 3.50 u can downgrade it first n then use tht to create pandora.
if both are highr than 3.50,u cannot downgrade.the only way is hard-modding the battery.

by opening the battery n remove one of the small components.u can find it a t maxconsole.cant find the link though,anyway u should find it in the forum...

well thts if he lives near uk.whre do u live m8??
if u hard mod the battery,u will only have a chance to ruin ur battery not the psp i think.cant confirm though..anyway try send it to sicdude if u are nearby...
@sicdude-add me in ur list.i lived in kota bharu,malaysia...i wonder if someone close to me...coz i think i am the only malaysian here..

Argh!!! I think i just spoiled my battery!!!! I plucked out the 5th pin alright, but then now when i put it back in it wont turn on!!!!!!! And when i plug in the AC, it blinks between green and orange!!!

ACK!!!!!!!!! I know what i did wrong!!!!!!!!!! My battery is the older version and im not supposed to pluck out the pins!!!!! Im supposed to solder a wire or something, could anyone give more info on this?

Hey,
can any one tell me where i can get a copy of 3.50 for the U.K. one cus i can only find Japanese and North America or does it not matter
(will not take any notice of noobz answers as they can not be trusted a lot of the time)

Cool! Hey about the thing, i just sent in my psp to get it 'changed', they said it would change to 3.71 didnt say whether official or custome (should be custom, they said you could play 'local' games on it). At least now we can see what format the 'local games' are in (if its ISO's ill be jumping in joy :) )

i am quiet sure they'll change it to custom already.usually the retail store like them wont tell detailed information n juz tell u tht u can play local games.i used too but they charged me rm100 u know.then i decided to search n i find tis forum.i am lucky enough lol to have 1.5 at tht time n i go to 3.03oe-c easily.
thnkxsx to this forum i got lots of useful knowlegde n i bet i am better then them(the retail storer) in psp thing...
