Just wanted to say this is a great guide, helped me out a lot. Just had one question though, I'm going to be installing custom firmware on my psp which currently has version 2.81 on it. I'm going to be trying to mod it with the version using GTA, but I need to buy GTA:LCS first. I'm going to go and pick it up but I just want to know if there is any way from the box to tell whether it is the unpatched version, because I don't want to buy it only to find out I have the wrong version. It looks like it won't work if I don't have the right version. Any help would be great.

thanks

That means they are protected by Entertainment Software Association.

And what has that got to do with downgrading psp's you should of posted this in a rom thread or made your own

I need help on Downgrading my slim psp (2000). Right I tried lots of downgrading tools to make the required things. I used Corly's tool to make magic memory stick... That worked fine! The only problem i got is with the battery.

I tried to make a pandora battery using the pandora installer which runs from PSP but it says game cannot be played and those sort of stuff.
I tried to use hellcat's downgrader for Slim psps but it says the same thing.

I'm planning to buy a pandora battery. But there's this question... Will a Battery with 3.6v and 1800maH fit into a slim psp?

Thanks

hey people. um i dont no much about this downgrading all the stuff related to it.. this is probably a dumb question but i just need to make 100% sure. ok i have a PSP slim version 3.71, 1G memory stick. i would like to play iso and cso games. but i hear you need to downgrade it. does this mean i need my psp to be 3.71 m33 at least?

if possibe and that works, can i change the 1g to a 2g,4g ? or do i have to stay with da 1g??

So I'll start off by thanking all the seniors, even though i just signed up, I have relied on this site for over a year.

I have the Pandora set. I just want to know if I can keep multiple CFW/updates on my mms and how?

Thanks

Is it possible at all to downgrade a 3.90FW Slim PSP?

EDIT: Ok, after looking around, I'm under the assumption to downgrade an official 3.90FW, you need to have an exisiting custom firmware or something like that. n/m that doesn't make sense. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, there's no way to downgrade official 3.90FW without having an existing custom FW PSP, which sucks.

But oh well. It's not like its the end of the world. They're are great buyworthy games out there like Silent Hill: Origins. =)
