This guide is great! One thing... The Homebrew Apps don't work on Official Firmware. Only the Pandora Battery and MMS work. Despertar Del Cementrio is a homebrew application which will not allow OFW PSPs to run it.

Hopefully this will be easy for someone to figure out. I bought crisis core and didnt work with my 3.03 custom firmware so i

"to downgrade custom firmwares back to 1.50 or repair your semi bricked psp use this 1.50 recovery http://www.sendspace.com/file/j3j2e2 put it in game folder on psp
go into recovery mode and select run programme at psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp "

....to bring it back to original settings and now when i run the 3.93 Original firmware i get a message on my PSP saying

The system configuration of your psp system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance. [DRNFFFFFFD7]

How do i get my system back up and running so i can play crisis core.. Im a total fucking noob @ this shit and regret going to dark alex's i just want the simplest most detailed route to playing Crisis core

hey SicDude:
I read your first post about the process of getting psp slim to CFW. I have a question here, for updating PSP slim to CFW, you need the Pandory Battery + magic memory stick as you described. what about your psp's current FW. in your description, (it said press L+R+X to go back to orignal FW 3.60). I am confused on this part. here is the question, does PSP slim needed FW 3.60 to upgrade to CFW 3.60 M33? or other FW as well. Right now, I have FW 3.93, can i still upgrade to CFW 3.60 M33?

2 ways.

Downgrade your 3.90M33 back to 1.50, then 3.40OE-A then 3.52M33-4 then 3.71M33. Please do it in those steps :)

OR

Use the Universal Unbricker V3 to get a straight re-flash to 3.71M33.

are you using the program on a psp with a custom firmware? if so, the battery creator you downloaded is not meant for cfw.. it is meant for the 1.50 official firmware..

or if you are using the program on a 1.50 ofw psp, the program is meant for a psp with a cfw..

Pandora Battery Creator - used with the 1.50 ofw psp..
OS Pandora Battery Tool - used with the cfw[any cfw, dont worry..=D]

I have a question, how do I downgrade my psp 3.90 M33 to 1.50. The recovery method does not work, it shows game could not be started (8002013C). Help please. I want to go back to 1.50 so I could change my Mac Address, as it wont let me play in ad-hoc mode.

Hey folks, I have got a bit of a problem here...I have always had a version 1.50 PSP since May 2004 and always emulated. So by using homebrews and using Devhook for my back-upped ISOs I never messed with the Firmware. But...recently I decided to try out M33 since I was interested in using the firmwares where devhook didn't go.

I used 3.51 m33 without any problem; I was able to load up my ISOs of the games I back-upped. Then recently I updated the custom firmware from 3.51 m33 to 3.52 m33-3 and it still worked great allowing me to play my ISOs. But this afternoon I booted it up and every one of my isos were instead booting up Lumines UMD. I checked the firmware and it stil said 3.52 m33-3 yet its now acting as if its a legit version of 3.52...

I feel as if I got royally screwed somehow yet I have no idea where it went wrong or why. I hope someone here could shed some light on this case and figure out if there?s a fix to this.

I appreciate any input, thanks in advance.

why dont u try to update it to 3.71 M33 version, and if that doesn't work there could be many things that could be wrong with your PSP. I don't know your settings and if you have messed up with recovery menu. The best thing I could suggest is to us Pandora's Battery and MMS to downgrade ur PSP to 1.50 and then do whatever u want to do from there.

It's fixed, I managed to downgrade it and reflash up to 3.71 m33

But thankyou for your response anyway.

Okay so i have a PSP 2.80 TA-082 (Classic aka Fat) im trying to run the HEN loader (i checked and my psp has IC1003 in the corner)

i've placed all the files in the correct place and renamed the eboot 1.5 to UPDATE.PBP and placed it in the X:\PSP\Game\Update folder (i made sure it did not overwrite anything)

When i go to the photo menu in the XMB and try to open the HEN all i see is the image of the chicken enlarged.

Im almost 100% i placed the files correctly and i've formatted several times and replaced them. i've also tried easy installers where it places everything in the correct directories and i still get jus an image of a chicken enlarged and nothing happens no crash no blue or red screen.

I am using an official Sony 1GB memory stick.

What could the problem be?
