here's the readme
Changes in version 3
-----------------------
- Coded a display driver that supports the psp slim screen in the mixed 1.50/3.40 kernel.
- The M33 instalaltion will install 3.71 M33-2, not 3.71 M33
---
Installation:
- If you have already a pandora ms, don't do this part. Otherwise,
format an ms using c+d mspformat or any other tool that allows to move
partition to ~250kb from first sector
Remove ms, usb and connect again usb and ms.
Make PSP and PSP/GAME dirs.
- Copy despertar_cementerio to PSP/GAME/
- Download 1.50, 3.40 and 3.71 update eboots and copy them to ms root with
150.PBP, 340.PBP and 371.PBP names.
- Use the app under a cfw with 2.x or 3.x kernel (be sure that kernel is
selected on recovery to the correct one (2.x or 3.x))
- Once finished, u will have msipl.bin on root. If you already have a pandora
ms, you don't have to do this step (ipl doesn't changes lol), otherwise,
use c+d msinst to install ipl on ms; or use dd command from unix, or any
hex-edit program to write on sector 16 on the physical drive.
- Now you can delete 340 and 150 PBP's, as they won't be used more; but 371.PBP
will be used for unbricker, so don't delete it.
- Now you have an universal pandora ms ready to go, and you just need a proper
battery. If you have 1.50 kernel access, use c+d tool. Otherwise, use corly149 tool.
Battery and ms will work on all psp and slims to this date.
Unbricking:
- Press X to install 3.71M33.
- Press O to install original 3.71 (rest of the process as the X option)
- Press [] to dump nand to nand-dump.bin. When done, psp will auto shutdown.
- Press L+R+HOME+start to restore nand from nand-dump.bin
This proccess is very dangerous, and you should *just* use it if it's your
last chance to get it working.
This is a physical restore process (not a logical one), and will try to make
a 100% exact clon of the dump.
If you are working with a dump that isn't yours, you will get either a brick
or a corrupt idstorage, depending on the firmware.
If while you are restoring your psp have got any damaged block more than
when you dumped it, you might also get a brick, depending on what block is it.
Works for both PSP and PSP Slim.

Hi
I already had a Magic MS before doing the tutorial above, since doing the above tutorial one on my Magic MS I have deleted the 150.PBP and 340.PBP but I still have the UPDATE.PBP from the original tutorial I used to make my Magic MS before this tutorial, can I also delete the UPDATE.PBP so just the 371.PBP is on the root of the Magic MS or is this UPDATE.PBP needed?
Also I have not created my Pandora Battery as I'm waiting till my spare one comes but can this Magic MS convert any battery into a Pandora one or does it have to be the battery that was in my PSP when making the Magic MS?
Please also confirm that this Magic MS installs 3.71M33-2 to all PSP's with any Pandora Battery?
Is there any danger that I could damage My PSP if the Magic MS is not done correctly? I ask this as I redone the msipl.bin with the above tutorial
One final question, what does the following mean?
Quote: Now you have an universal pandora ms ready to go, and you just need a proper battery. If you have 1.50 kernel access, use c+d tool. Otherwise, use corly149 tool.
Many thanks

1 Deleteing the update.pbp wont hurt anything as it is no use in this process.
2 You have to have a Phat that is running custom firmware to create the battery useing the pandoras battery creator.
3 This does install 3.71 m33-2 to ALL psps
4.If it isnt made right it will not show a screen img or it will brick your psp in the installation process. Always follow instructions
Phat PSP 1->MS Slot Dead.RIP
PSP SLIM->3.60->3.71->And with a lil bit of MAGIC->3.71M33->3.71M33-2->3.71M33-3->3.90M33->3.90M33-2->4.01M33-2

If you don't want to install 3.71 m33-2, use the earlier versions of the universal unbricker (v1 & v2) and some even prefer the pandora's battery (the original, I mean. I just call it that cuz apparently now it's called 'universal unbricker') as it downgrades your FW to 1.5

Might sound like a stupid question but why wouldn't I want to install 3.71 m33-2?
I know the older ones took PSP's back to 1.5 but surely this version saves the trouble of having to install the firmware from 1.5?
Or is there another reason that 1.5 would be better?
Thanks

With the release of CFW with more and more features, OFW 1.5 (once the king of all FW and dubbed the 'perfect FW') is now surpassed by CFW. Yes, 1.5 is compatible with virtually everything (the only problem I can think of is that it cannot play new UMDs/ISO & CSO files from new UMDs) but it lacks features such as the web browser and camera options. So your best bet is to upgrade to a recent CFW (by recent I mean at least 3.5x M33)
Why wouldn't u want to upgrade to 3.71 m33-2?
Well, many people argue that it's not customisable. Truth be told, this is only partially correct. It is customisable, it's just that at the current moment, there aren't many customising options available, but don't let this throw you off. More custom themes and such are being release regularly and I'm sure they're working on the new rco encryption, and we will be able to change our coldboots etc :P
3.71 m33-2 w/1.5 kernel addon is a great CFW. Compatible with new UMDs and games, so it's either this or 3.52 m33-4 if you REALLY want to customise your PSP.

Theres been 3 or 4 other threads of Rav3 saying you can't flash 3.71 M33 with RCO files. I have also correct Rav3 3 or 4 times saying that you can flash the PSP with RCO files. Guess they tune my post out. lol
