I recently tried to flash a samsung 943 ms28fw and in the middle of flashing the computer hung up and did not backup the original firmware. Now the drive is not detected and is useless. I can't buy another drive without the orig.bin file for the drive key? What should I do?

so i take it you overwrote the original key, if this is the case and the drive says please put disc in a 360 then its bricked i im sorry to say and your 360 is useless as there is currently no way of getting the key from the motherboard as of yet.

It should've backed the firmware up whenever you read the firmware. Look on whatever storage device you read the drive with and make sure. The drive isnt bricked you can still flash the firmware over using a via chipset and bad flash method.
But alyt is correct. If you are unable to recover your key your sitting in bad shape right now.
You can open your firmware in hex editor and find your key but im not sure of the location. Maybe ask someone who does. If your able to get it you can reflash new firmware.

The drive key is stored at 000040DC
It is a 32 character key. Disregard FF's and EE's make sure it looks like random numbers.

or simply load the file with firmware toolbox

If the firmware file isnt complete (not 256kb) fw toolbox will not open it.
