i have both fat and slim, and there's not much of a difference. wherever one falls short on, the other has it. slow umd playing on fat, slim runs faster by caching into memory. slim can't run many homebrews due to 3.60 kernel, fat runs all with 1.50 kernel. it goes back and forth.

if you use the psp as a remote, you have to stick with the fat, because the slim doesn't have the iR port. it's replaced with the wlan switch.

one thing i want to see on a m33 update for the slim, iso/cso caching. it would fully utilize the memory upgrade. also, i'm waiting for the new battery door cover. i wanna use my 2200mAh battery on the slim.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

If I were you, I would just stick with the fat PSP, I went out and bought myself a PSP just a week ago, and I chose the fat one so that I could get a blue one, and the guy could downgrade the 3.50 kernel to 1.50 and then up to 3.52 M33-4, and it only cost me an extra 30RMB (3.75 US dollars) to do it. I could of got the Slim one and done the same, but it would of cost me more, and once you brick your PSP Slim, thats it, its over.
