corrupt file message

i have been downloading backups for my psp games and the last three i have downloaded have given me corrupt file data when trying to unpack with winrar. wondering if there is something i am supposed to do or if this a common problem. i wouldnt be concerned if if only happened once i would put it down to a bad download but it has happened with the last three.

i am assuming no one can help with this as i havent had any replies yet? if it help the error message winrar is giving me is "packed data CRC failed" info appreciated.

According to WinRAR's help forum, your error is a result of a one or more corrupt files. This is common when split archiving a single file into several files. EX: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2.cso is about 1.6GB. Split that into 16 RAR files at 100MB each, and you can see how easy it is for something to be lost, forgotten, or corrupt during the compression. It does say however, that 3.71 WinRAR has a new built-in feature that can "guess" the missing piece by what code came before and after it. Try using it. If you still get that error message, then the corrupt/missing code is too great and that's the uploaders fault for not properly testing the archives before uploading them.
