NO! Pandora's Battery is based entirely on the SONY's official EEPROM coding. If you tried, it will kick it back displaying an error "Error: Unable to access battery's flash". I have tried on a generic battery for the PSP (didn't want to spend money on a new SONY battery when a generic one costs $25 less).

They are fine, as long as they are GENUINE SONY PSP BATTERIES they should work 100%. But be careful, there has been word that soon SONY will be releasing a new range of batteries which cannot be used to be made into a Pandora's Battery!! So grab the hackable genuine batteries while they are cheap & still exist!
