can anyone tell me how i copy a dvd which has been copied from a video i have nero 5.5 and i am using datawrite yellow 4x
when you open the file it has video rm and video ts normal dvds have audio ts and video ts

lainey, If the original dvd copy you have isn't copy protected, just use any disc copy program. Does the original play for you or is that video rm file giving you problems? If it plays ok just do the disc copy from Nero. Jerry

the film was originaly done on a digital camcorder then put on dvd

lainey, Well its not copy protected. So if it plays in your players, then just use Nero disc copy or any other burning software that has disc copy. Insert original and let it burn to HD, It will finish that and ask for a blank dvd. Then it will burn back to the blank. Jerry

i have copied it and it came up burn successful but it wont play in dvd player keeps coming up unknown disc and ive played others copies of normal copied films ok

Hi lainey, Had to do some research on that video rm file. That is a REAL MEDIA file by real player. I think you will need to convert it to regular type video. I have never worked with that type file. There are converters for it at ZDnet.com Download section under AVS converters. Some are free to try trial and some completely free. Does the original copy that you are trying to copy play or does it do the same thing? Good luck and let me know how it comes out. Jerry
