Here's the bottom line: I suck at networking. But how do I connect my PS2 to a wireless network? I can't buy any hardware right now, so don't give me links to any stores or product pages. I might have some extra cables lying around, though. I have my own computer, and it uses a Wireless G USB Adapter, but for some reason that computer can't connect. I have no idea how to name these adapters, so the one I use on my computer is a D-Link Adapter, DWL-G122. It says on the box "Airplus G" and that it has 802.11g Wireless Connectivity.
My Wirless Router is a NetGear RangeMax, WPN824 v2. 2.4 GHz, 802.11g. Says up to 1000% better than standard 802.11g.
Since I can't buy any hardware, is there any way I can somehow connect the PS2 to this network?
I'll give info on IP addresses and stuff like that if you ask.
I get that by typing in
ipconfig
or
ipconfig /all
into MS-DOS, right?

I used a cable on my wireless router and to my PS2, and then just used my network disc on the PS2 to connect it.
It found an ip address by using assign an ip address by DHCP.
Do you have a network access disk?

I need to do this wirelessly...
I have a disk with the networks drivers on it and the Network Adapter setup disk for the PS2.
The network's drivers are for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

you will have to connect the ps2 to your netgear router. the ps2 cannot be connected wirelessly, unlike the ps3 and wii, which have built in wifi.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

From what I can gather.... no it will not work. I am sure it will power up on the PS2 but how will the PS2 recognize it and apply drivers etc. I think only that gaming adapter will work or you need to go buy a cable to hook up to the ps2.
See the pictures in the wireless section of this thread. The adaptor still has to be plugged into the network adaptor of the PS2.
