i wanna have a look at the wii virtual console shop but im afraid by doing that it will update my wii and also it will brick my wii. so is it safe to connect to the internet. My wii is currently 2.2J

geez, read how to protect from bricking,
internet update = good
other region game update = bad

it won't brick, if you read that bricking sticky it explains why systems get bricked and it has nothing to do with internet updates
