you can run snes, gba etc on psp fat, and you get to use other firmware other than 3.60m33(or ofw)and 3.71m33(or ofw).i.e. you can use 3.03oe-x on fat but not slim...i think.

You can actually still run Snes and NesterJ on Slim. I've done it. And you really wouldn't wanna run 3.03 OE or w/e b/c M33 has gotten rid of all the bugs that were in OE. Aside from that, 3.71 M33-2 is every bit as hackable as 3.03 OE. D_A just fixed the corruption problems in flash on M33-2.

hm...true, 3.03oe-a i quite useless but people might wanna test out other cfw.and how did you run snes and nesterj?did you dl the older versions, because people said older versions of snes worked for them.

Idk what versions they are, but I can upload 'em if you want. I know they work perfectly on 3.60.

Hmm...well that question is debatble. When u compare the two, the main things that psp users examine are;

1. The appeal of the PSP
2. The units compatibility (this means if it can be hacked, run homebrew, etc)

As for appeal, I certainly prefer the PSP slim, as will most other PSP users. The only thing which most people dislike is possibly the new UMD tray, which is not spring loaded, and to some seems cheap (and they have a right to, $280 AUD isn't exactly a week's pocket money).

Compatibility? Well, atm, the PSP phat definitely is more homebrew capable, as the Slim is incapable of using the 1.5 kernel (to date). BUT, don't less this throw you off, because homebrew is being released by the day for PSP slim units, and 3.71 M33-2 CFW CAN be run on the Slim, meaning it can run a portion of what it's elder brother can handle in the homebrew scene.
