hi i am trying to back up star wars battlefront and no matter what program i try(dvd decrypter, alcohol 120 and clone dvd) my reader comes up as a cd burner. how can i change the settings back to a dvd burner?
hi smoky, im trying to backup an iso file but every program i try to use my burner comes up as a cd drive. its not its a nec dvd burner. how can i switch it back to dvd
How old is this NEC burner of yours, could be it has quit on you.
I have had a few quit on me in the past.
Go to device manager in control panel, and remove this drive, then reboot and see if that fixes it.
If that doesnt work, then I would try to update the firmware on it and see if thats the issue.
Open DVD Decrypter or update to the newest successor, Imgburn and open Tools/select Drive, then select Firmware update check and see if you have the latest firmware.
Also what type or Brand of DVD are using?
