Hey Ive gotten my .bin and .cue files for
Dance Dance Revolution 5th mix
I tried using Alcohol 120% to burn the image to a dvd but it wouldnt work so I used a CD it burned but does not work in my Modded PS2. The only images Ive been able to use so far are ISO images on dvds and im not sure what I have to do to use CDs. If anyone could help explain this a bit. Ive seen some links with programs and some directions and have followed them so could you please use your own words instead of just a link so I can finally figure this out? These are the programs I have installed on my system that may be of use

Alcohol 120%
CDRwin
UltraISO
RecordNow
ImgBurn
BurnAtOnce

Like I said so far Ive tried to convert the .cue to an ISO Ive tried to burn it to a cd Ive tried to burn it to a dvd (never proceeds)

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks again

How is your PS2 modded? Is it a chip or using SM
A bin and cue file is only for CD's
I would use imgburn and burn it to good quality CD-r

Its modded with a chip. Yea I tried using imgburn some reason its just not working though I haven't gotten any cds to really work only dvds basically which is the bulk of my stuff thankfully

Maybe theres a certain way to burn them or something that im not aware of? Any thoughts?

Oh and by the way Ive been using Momorex CD-R disks are they good enough quality or should I get another brand. I wasn't aware that the cd brand made a difference

Do you know which region is the game and your connsole?
PSone games from NTSC region cannot be played in PAL and vice verca.
Three Regions
NTSC-UC
NTSC-JAP
PAL
If regions vary you have to patch the imge with PPF patches.
Go to MegaGames.com for the patches aswell as patchers.
its very easy.
open PPF patcher select game(image-bin,cue) select patch PATCH! burn DONE.

Well its NTSC and your system is NTSC/US so it should work as long as your modchip plays imports and PS1 games, it should work fine.
You say you have CDRwin, have you tried using it to burn then.

Seeing this is a PS1 game as your title describes either Alcohol 120% or CDrwin or BurnAtOnce should burn it fine, but yes your media is important.

Also you say it wouldnt work in your modded PS2, exactly what came up on the screen if anything.

Well I think i figured it out but I forgot which program I needed to use for it. DDR 5th mix is mod protected so it needs to be patched I patched it once before but I think I accidnetally patched the .cue image and not the .bin. I got the patch but I dont remember the name of the patcher I used because it was never saved to my computer. Do ya know the patcher I should use?

Do other PS1 games work fine with your modchip. I am not sure what else you would patch it with. Don't know if the NTSC/PAL selector would help you or not.

I dont use many copied game disks so im not sure I have a DMS2 chip im pretty sure though if that helps. Im pretty close to giving up though the only thing I can think of is a bad file or maybe my brand of CD-Rs isnt good enough(memorex)

I would suggest and try Patch-it.
Patch it
It comes with three files with ".ptc" extension.
What you have to do it put "USA.ptc" file in the same folder as your
bin/cue file.
Open Patch it program.
tick the USA patch(dont tick multiple patches)
use the browswer on left side to go to the folder of the .bin file.
select it as it appears in centre pane.
and finally HIT "GO"

After that burn it using CDRWIN demo @1x!!

I would suggest trying this before any PPF patches and stuff

Ok I have all my games backed up now except the last one is DDR Max which when I try to burn it to a dvd it says disk type is not supported. Was this game a CD? and will i have to patch it at all? Hopefully this game is a little less confusing then 5th mix Lol

Im gonna close this thread and make a new one for Max so its easier for people to find if it gets figured out
