That happens to a lot of people. Make sure in recovery menu that no-UMD is disabled. The put a UMD and then try play it. If that doesn't work enable no-UMD and then try to play it without a UMD. Tell me what happens.

Hey
I just downloaded MGSPOps and it works fine. Settings are as follows:

configuration:
Game folder homebrew (currently: 1.50 kernel)
Use NO-UMD (currently: Disabled)
Fake region (currently: America)

Advanced configuration :
PLain modules in UMD/ISO (currently: Enabled)
Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO (currently: Disabled)
Use isofs driver also in UMD-inserted mode(currently: Disabled)

My firmware is 3.51 M33

Hope this helps

my mgs: portops runs fine on my 3.52 m33-4

UMD mode: sony np9660 -no umd-
all advanced options: disabled
cpu speed in umd/iso: 300 or 333

also, try formatting your memory stick. first, backup everything on your memory stick

-start a command prompt (start->run->cmd)
-once the command prompt appears, type "format (psp drive letter): /fs:fat
-will ask, are you sure? type "y"
-*if using a 4gig or higher memory stick, it will ask if you want to use 64k cluster. type "y"*

once done, copy everything back to the memory stick.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I think you just have a bad copy of the ISO. Look for a download in either mininova.org or isohunt.com ,once there look for a specific download that has this at the end [EUR MULTI5] or just MULTI5 I always trust those and they haven't let me down yet.
