hello all, this is my first time posting.

i was bored today "thanksgiving day" so i decided to take a stroll to the local computer store and buy the LG-8164B to rip Wii Games. since 2 o'clock i have been trying to fix the problem, i have searched everywhere in the forum (thanks for the awesome help) but i still couldn't fix my problem. the LG-8164B and my other LG dvd burner would show up in Rawdump 2.0.
my two drives do show up in 0.4, but it takes TOO long to rip the games.
i have tried switching the LG-8164B to slave/master and switching to PIO Only and it still doesn't work. i also tried reinstalling .net 2.0 and it still doesn't work.

some of my system spec that might matter:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
Gigabyte P965 - DS3
IDE Master Drive - GDR 8164B
IDE Slave Drive - GSA 4160B
Windows Media Center Edition x86 SP2
.Net Framework 2.0
Rawdump 2.0

I am planning on reinstalling my computer 2morrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Friidump won't work for me either, everytime i open the file. a dos window pops up and disappears.

not to be rude, but it was stated in my first post....the only problem is that LG 8164B can not be detected by Rawdump 2.0, it can be detected by Rawdump 0.4, windows can detect the drive too.

Hmmmm i don't see a problem with what you have, if you you correctly installed your drives properly they should show up, at the moment i have my LG drive on slave not that it would matter but when you rebuild your comp maybe you should try that? other than that i don't know what to tell you, noones really encountered this problem with xp

Dude, you (were anyway) having the exact same problems as me
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/571417
funny how we both have the same motherboard as well! And my burner is being picked up by friiDump so i'm using that at the moment.

The only difference is, im using Vista. I'm going to be picking up a IDE > Sata cable this sunday because i think its the mobos IDE shortcomings that are causing the problem.
