Wth is a UMD emulator? Do u mean a UMD emulator for the computer? The PSP does not need to emulate UMDs cuz it can PLAY UMDs

Im guessing that you cant run ISO's on your PSP, if so go to recover menu (Turn OFF > turn on holding R button)
Go to configuration > change 3.40 kernel to 1.50 and try to run again.

That's not all.

Under the configuration menu, make sure the No - UMD mode is set to 'UMD required'

Also, go to Advanced -> advanced configuraiton and disable everything here for maximum compatibility with UMDs

if i were you, i'd flash my psp up to 3.52m33-4(or optionally update 3)then do an upgrade to 3.71m33-2.you can enable "no-umd" in either 3.5xm33-x or 3.71m33(-2) which means you can play your isos, with no umd in your psp.

Start from scratch.
Completely turn off your PSP.
Turn back on while holding R button, this should take you to the recovery menu.
Choose configuration
Hover over Kernel and press X, this should now change.
There is also a NOUMD option.
Go to this and press X until you see the Sony option appear.
Exit recovery console.

Also, if u are running a CFW with vshmenu available, in the XMB press select to bring forth the vshmenu and toggle the UMD mode to 'Sony np6600 driver'.
