What do u mean it doesn't work? the unit doesn't power on with the battery in place or it doesn't work as a pandora's battery?

To test the battery without full charge, put in the battery, and plug in the ac adapter, and then power on the PSP unit. if it does not turn on, the battery is faulty.

i jus tried that and it works! =)..but doesnt that mean that its jus running off the ac power and not through the battery at all?

the orange light on the psp does light up...so i guess its charging but the battery i bought says to use its own charger so im gonna go with the usb for a few more hours

Nvm I just realised u can power on a PSP without a battery and only the AC adapter.

Test the battery u bought on another PSP unit.

That's very odd. The battery charges and yet it won't turn on? It should turn on as long as it has SOME charge in it shouldn't it? :\ Maybe the battery has faulty programming which doesn't boot up the PSP. Did u try putting in the battery, plug in the ac adapter, turn the PSP on, then pull out the ad adapter and see if the PSP is still on? If that occurs, it means the battery does work, except is has faulty programming which prevents it frm starting up the PSP unit.

Try what I said in my last post. and why not buy a slim battery? Sure it's 1200MAH, but it fits well and apparently only has 1hour less juice.

ahh yes, the pandora's battery. I've made a few myself. It's saved me over 10 times :) (and a few of my friends too).

Ok well I doubt your PSP slim will brick because u use the Pandora's battery ITSELF to UPGRADE your PSP slim to CFW (3.60M33 or 3.71m33-2).

Well right now u CAN charge it right? So I suppose it isn't faulty (or partially). It doesn't really matter I don't think since when u make the pandora's battery, the battery is reprogrammed so it should function normally afterwards.

Sony representatives said themselves that the fat battery should work on a slim. Possibly because u are not using an official battery u are experiencing problems with booting up ur PSP. In fact Sony half encourages you to use the fat battery, they even released a custom battery cover (did u get that with your battery?) for the PSP slim. Anyway, u might still have the same problems, try getting a real sony battery, then u shouldn't have any problems.
