Hello, It's been quite a while since I've even turned on my PSP. I was wondering if someone could give me advice. I have an original PSP phat (Was 1.5 firmware), In the times of Dark Alex, I upgraded to 3.03OE-A firmware. Now with some new games coming out, and some old PS1 games I'd like to rip, I'd like to know, should I upgrade my firmware to the M33 stuff? Or downgrade? Or what?

Also if I upgrade, would I need to do anything special, or would overwriting the 3.03OE-A work fine?

overwriting 3.30oe-a is pefectly fine.. here is an easy way to get you to cusotm firmware. http://www.sendspace.com/file/7ziefh /... download that and extract it.. you should get a yellow box that says 1.50 or custom firmware. since you got custom firmware, obviously you double click the cusotm firmware one ONCE your psp is connected via usb w/ the computer because double clicking that file automatically puts the files needed to get to 3.52m33-4. You can go straight there. So once it's dont, you go down to game menu and run it when battery is at 75% or more with the charger plugged in. If you want you can go to 3.71m33-2 after but there both stable and up to date as of now. Slight differences.
