hello i'm new to site so i'm not sure if i'm in the right forum. anyway. i just upgraded my firmware to 3.52 m33-4 and everything is working fine untill i try to play a umd. i put the umd in but the psp can't read it or something. the icon won't appear on the screen. i hear it running and the little loading circle on the bottom is moving but nothing happens. games from my memory stick work ok as far as i know but umds won't work. what do i do now?

U should've read the product description before you bought it...

Cuz u bought it for $40 (if ur sig is real) then the UMD laser is probably faulty.(will need to be repaired, $40 AUD?)

Just play ISO/CSO files. Press select to access the vsh menu and then toggle the umd mode to 'sony np6600' which will allow u 2 play 99% of iso/cso games without a umd :)

my umd works now i guess it was because the umd i tried using before was a japanese version which kind of messed up my psp so i just left it off for a while got another umd and tried it again and it worked.

and the guy i got my psp from is a friend of mine and he used the
40$ i gave hime to buy a ds but he says he rather have the psp then the ds. so yeah i think he was the idiot not me.

You do realise you can run any region game on any PSP? The fact it was a Jap game would have no effect...

yeah, i have 2 jap iso's and 1 jap umd and they work fine.might be the umd's fault.
