I have the Windows Firewall on and Symantic Anti-virus software.

Someone suggested I turn these off and try again - will try

Does anyone else have this working for them with Windows XP Home Edition in Normal Mode with no problems?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

For ease of use, just grab yourself a copy of XP Pro and upgrade...

You'll only run into these hassles time and time again!

How hard is it to upgrade?

What steps do you have to do?

Is it possible to install Windows XP Pro to a Windows XP Home HDD without wiping the drive clean?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

Yeah, you can just click on upgrade, not the best way to do it, but it'll work!

It'll keep all your settings, etc...

So when I upgrade to XP Pro the Xbox should be able to read everything with no problems right?

Even when downloading files or surfing the net at the same time?

Why is it unsafe to just upgrade and keep the current settings, what is the best way to do it?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

Sometimes the upgrade files don't like the files that are currently on the machine.

The best way is to backup anything that is important, wipe the drive clean and install fresh!

The clock on the MS Dashboard had somehow gone 2 hours ahead of time, so I fixed it and turned off DST.

I rebooted to evox to see the clock is still wrong.

This is weird, for some reason now the clock on my evox is like 5 hours ahead of the real time, but has the same date.

I never noticed this until now, what is the problem and how do I fix it?

EDIT
I don't have an SNTP server listed, is that the problem?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

Might be a dash corruption!

Also, try not to edit the thread title, it stuffs up the search engine results when others are trying to solve their issues!
