i have the newest 3.71 update and i am having problems finding the correct version to crack my psp for the roms feature and i am wondering am i going to have to stick with my locked psp?
please help :(

The only way to downgrade from fw3.71, is to use the pandora battery. I dont know much about it, but try putting pandora's battery into google and see what comes up. What I do no about it is that it can unbrick any psp on any firmware back to fw1.50, but you need to brike it first.

You don't need to brick it first actually.

Anyway, yes, you'll need a Pandora Battery, these can only be created with PSPs already on CFW (Custom Firmware) (Or "cracked" as you say (We don't)). So, you'll either need to buy one ready made, or find someone with CFW that can make it for you.

Then when you're at 1.50 you can upgrade to CFW (Most preferably 3.52 M33) and play homebrew, ROMs, ISOs/CSOs, PSX games... whatever.

there is one other method, but it's for the professionals only. it requires opening an official sony battery and desoldering a pin.
