Hmm. I got a new 4 gig off eBay.com.au and it seemed pretty good. But then i formatted it; using windows then when it finished, i unplugged, then plugged in again, and it says that windows doesn't recognize it. Thanks in advance.

i smell a fake. check the magicgate status of the memory stick. if it's unknown, then it's a fake

try formatting it with the psp.

Shii. Thanks for your help. But I think it was because i formatted it using the computer. I backed up the files on my desktop:

MSTK_PRO.IND
MEMSTICK.IND

Both hidden. Maybe that could be the problem?

Im downloading the "Memory stick file rescue software" which sony provided.

wouldn't matter if it was formatted on the computer. i format all my memory sticks on the computer.

maybe just a bad format.

It works again. I must've done something wrong. Lols. I payed $50 AUD for it. I'm going to try to see if i can do Pandora's with this. If not then it is really a fake. :] Thanks for the help.
