which is better? Sony NP9660 -NO UMD- or normal umd?

i have umd in my psp..
then normal mode should be better, right?

i prefer the np9660, people are telling me the m33 driver sometimes freezes after going to sleep mode. no-umd is ok but i imagin the battery life would drain less if the psp were to not have a umd inserted, if a umd is in, when u open the latch the home screen comes up, if there is no umd in np9660 or m33 drive3r, the page will continue and you can play games with the umd door open. so the sony np9660 is best or possibly same to the M33 driver.
