All it is is a external hard drive with a converter program that somes with it. Its nothing special.

This would be considered a hardware mod, but nothing serious.. just more external storage space...

I'm starting to believe that the system will never be modded to play ps3 backups. If it is it's going to be a while. An iso loader in all honesty is not likely due to the file system that the ps3 uses. The swap switch will not work for ps3 backups. Back to the subject though, the ps3 cannot use an external hdd to play backups.

but on the ps2 you could put HDLoader onto the memory card. If someone could maybe program something similar and i guess we could wait till an action replay comes out for the PS3 to put the program onto the memory card. I know this in theory could work but in practice there are many factors to get by first. Still, just an idea.
