this is for burning xbox 360 games

do you need a dvd burner or cd burner?

do you need rewritable cds or dvds?

what is the best for copying 360 games clonecd? blindewrite? gamecopypro? nero? or something else?

how hard is it to burn them?

does the software even burn protected games?

You need a Dvd burner that can burn dual layer discs...
Pioneer 111d is a great one...
You need dual layer dvd + discs, Verbatims are the best followed by Ritek.
Clone cd and Img burn are the programs you use for burning.
It's easy to burn them.

DVD burner that can burn DVD+R DL (Dual Layer) and preferably one that can Booktype/Bitset your media to DVD-Rom

No just plain onld DVD+R DL, Verbatim would be your best choice of brands

Well if you mean just burning the image then i like IMGburn. CloneCD is another popular program. If you mean making a back up from an original disc then you would need IMGburn and either Schtrom or Xbox Backup Creator. And you would need a special Samsung DVD-Rom drive in your PC along with your DVD burner.
sh-d162d (IDE) and the sh-d163b (SATA) flashed with Kreon firmware.

Very simple and there is plenty of information on that in the bold threads at the top of this forum.

Well, as i mentioned only the Samsung DVD-Rom drives with Kreon firmware can read the original Xbox 360 discs. But games do not have protection like movies do.
