Originally when i had this problem i thought it was the result of a bad updade or something (I was at 3.30 oe-c) so i updated fully to 3.71 m33-2 and the DA 1.50 kernel.

What happens is when i go to register the psp on the ps3 it says "There are no PSP systems connected.". Yes ive activated the usb mode on the PSP and i can access the memory stick on the xmb of the ps3 and the computer.

Ive tried diffrent slots on the ps3 and diffrent cords. Ive also tried this with my firends PSP the same way with the same cord in the same slot and his registered properly.

I also tried swapping my memory card with his and trying it again yet it still says no PSP detected. Anyone know whats going on?

The problem is the PS3 won’t recognize a PSP with custom firmware, i have had a look around other forums for you but no one seems to know i would keep trying to connect!

THIS MIGHT HELP:::

Go to remote play settings on PS3,

Register new device,

Connect your PSP to PS3 via usb cable (be sure to set PSP to usb mode)

Press x for ok on PS3

It`ll register your PSP.

D/C the PSP and come back to your xmb on both systems.

Go to remote play on PS3 and select it.

Go to remote play on your PSP and select it, it`ll ask you to choose an access point. If you don`t have a wireless network you will only see Playstation3 (R).

Choose that and the PSP should then display your PS3 xmb, you will know it has worked cause your PS3 will display "Remote play in progress"

Just press circle on your sixaxis to quit the connection.

Hope that helps you. I think I got it right...

My friend's PSP was 3.30 oe-c aswell and it registered fine. I've no idea what the problem could be other than something screwed up in the flash. And ive tried it several times with the same result of "No PSP device detected".

What Fw do u have on yours? And did you wfind out any reason why it was happening to yours?

3.71m33 (didn't go the extra 2 steps yet). My ps3 is 'wired' into my network so I've never set up the wireless network - wouldn't think this would impact the ps3 recognising a psp connected to it tho. I initially had 3.51m33 fw when I tried the first time (same result)
