is there anyway to download the games to the wii for free other than having a mod chip. It doesn't seem fair that i'd have to pay 8 dollars to play a game that i've already bought for 60 a few years ago. WWF no mercy i'm refering to. Yes 8 dollars does add up depending on how many original games you have already had for those idiots who will call me cheap. I think there should be a way that allows you to download the original games you had then to get them on the wii now.

.......what? You think it's not fair to pay less than you did years ago?
There is no way to get Virtual Console games for free. I don't think ever.
Just wait until a N64 emulator shows up so you can run N64 roms.

thanks all mighty one. No i don't think its right to pay anything for a game that i already own. I'm sorry you must feel that Nintendo doesn't already have enough money, eh.

Well I'm sorry that the world is not perfect and that you cannot get everything for free, so until then you are gonna have to settle on paying a measly 10 bucks when/if they release that game you oh so desire in the Virtual Console.
But if you still want it for free, then like I said wait until there is a working N64 Emulator.

well TC think of it this way....at gamestop you pay a minimum of at least $10 for a used copy of N64 games. the prices can vary depending on the game and frankly i've seen a few N64 games hit the $25 dollar mark....in used condition no less. $8 a pop on select few N64 games is relatively cheaper in this sense.
now not only does it mean you're paying less than you would at a gamestop for such games, but it also means you're guaranteed that the game will work all the time....even if it doesnt work, since you can delete the VC game and redownload it free of charge at any time, which should essentially solve the problem. even then if it didnt work you could make a toll free call to Nintendo for other ways of making it work.
anyways as of right now there isnt any way to play N64 games freely on your nintendo wii....well there is, but i wont be disclosing that since you dont want anything to do with mod chips which would be needed.
to sum this up anyone who called you cheap essentially wouldnt be a idiot as you say, cause at this point you most definitely are being that way. you claim $8 a pop for original games adds up and you dont take into account how much you could be spending for the actual game cartridge at a gamestop or other gaming stores....now those would add up my friend. so consider yourself lucky that some N64 games on the virtual console go that low in price.

I haven't updated to 3.3u firmware so I can still play all N64 roms PLUS gamecube roms! How cool is that! :-) It's not that I care because I still have my xbox and whenever I want to go back to thousands of old school games, I just need to switch a button on my TV.

I have a modded xbox and have most the games. I wouldn't call myself cheap at all, i'd say i'm smart. I'm sorry that i questioned what the great Nintendo or God as some of you might say.I wouldn't be suprized if you jerks wrote Nintendo and asked them to raise the prices. Heck since $8 isn't that much money to any one responding why don't you all send me enough to dl 4 games. I could get out the old system but who really wants 3 or 4 of the older system plus all those games out taking up alot of space. Since this system can play them all and if you already own the what is so wrong to question why you shouldn 't get this get on the VC. Think about it, i know its hard

ur such a f'ing idiot. you bought the games for your old system, so play them on ur old system. Quit crying, especially when u still have the old system. You have a lot of nerve coming on these boards calling people jerks like you're in the right. I have a modded Wii and guess what, I have paid for N64 VC games. whoopty doo!!!!

oh me so sorry. Oh thats right i'm not. why did you get a modded wii the prices nintendo makes are so great. I do have the old sytems the problem is they don't excatly stay perfect forever and look at my second post for taking up space. I do have alot of nerve and for someone who is going to copy a game i find it funny your saying how wrong it is to want a game for free (which it isn't since we've paid already once for some games we own). Go do your homework junior
