Hey everyone,

I have a problem. Just yesterday I was playing my Fifa 08 without a problem in the world, and now it wont even boot up. It's a .cso and I have 3.40OE-A on it. I get the message 80020148 (The game could not be started). I like this firmware and I'm pretty sure its fine considering I was playing with the firmware yesterday. Can anyone help me out!?!

Do you have a Game UMD in the bay?

Go into recovery mode (Hold R shoulder button down while turning on PSP)

Go to ADVANCED and press X.

Go to ADVANCED CONFIGURATION and press X.

Make sure all the settings here are disabled.

Now EXIT out of recovery.

If you feel like going to a higher firmware you can use this guide HERE to do it (I recommend updating to at least 3.52 M33-4)

If you go to 3.52 M33-4 then follow this guide HERE to get your ISO/CSO working properly if you have any issues.

Glad it worked for you. I still would recommend updating to 3.52 M33-4. You will find some of the newer games will need the higher firmware in order to run. Dark_Alex is the coder for both 3.40 OE and 3.52 M33-4 so 3.52 M33-4 is just as good. I would say better then 3.40 OE seeing there are extra options with 3.52 M33-4.

Like the Sony NP9660 NO UMD driver that is compatible with almost all ISO/CSO games when using NO UMD. The VSH menu, built in UMD ripper and a few more options.
