Go to System Settings then System Information and tell us what it says under System Software.

If it says 3.10 then you can't go from a 3.10 official firmware straight to a custom firmware like 3.52 M33-4. If it says 3.10 then you need to use a game exploit to downgrade the PSP to 1.50 firmware.

1st Method) Use Lumines Game Exploit to downgrade to 1.50 firmware. Go HERE and look under the section of -3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard (You need a unpatched version of Lumines game for this method).

2nd Method) use a Pandora Battery to downgrade to 1.50 which you can get an easy installer HERE. (You will need a FAT PSP that has 1.50 firmware or custom firmware installed to create the Pandora battery)
