can anyone tell me why on the universal unbricker it asks to install 3.71m33 or install 3.71 original. Why would anyone want to istall the original?

if you send it back to sony for a certain repair for example, you wouldnt want them to no ur warranty has been voided (by installing a CFW) so then you install the original and when you get ur psp back then go back to M33 again... its also a good idea for TA-082 mobos in case they need to update for a game in the guture they can go 3.71 > 3.80 (for example).

Ah thanks, good idea that isnt it. Also not big fan of 3.71m33 at the minute but cant down grade back to 3.52m33. says error panic and a load of other suff when i use the 1.5 winstaller and then ends up in a full brick. Any ideas please!!!

you should recover to 1.50 with the new recovery pack made for 1.50 specialy. you can find it here on AfterDawn.
