I have a fat psp with 3.71 M33-2 that is now bricked. I was trying to install recovery le for 3.71 M33 and deleted config.se and pConf.dat from flash 1. I restarted and now I can't even access the recovery menu. When I turn on the psp I only get the power light.

I had already made a universal unbricker v3 with pandora battery. When I choose to install 3.71 official or 3.71 M33 the psp freezes when it says formatting flash0. I wait and wait and nothing happens.

My plan is to get the nand from a friend with 3.71 M33-2 (same as my version) and try to write that to the psp. Is this a bad idea? Is there a safer approach? Thanks.

The answer is...

I do this for friends, one had the flash0 corrupted, it will not work... not even dumping the flash0 or the nand... now to fix this you need a screwdriver and knowledge, you need to take out the motherboard then on the back part you will see the battery, its smolded to the MOBO, with a wire you will do a hard reset by connecting that battery to the battery of the chip... that will make the flash0 get a fresh copy and work it out, your PSP will be working after that... trust me the PSP i fixed is now on 3.71 m33-2

Again the nand dump will not work... I already tried that... :)

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

Same exact happen to me, I have no idea what is wrong, recovery mode/ pandora battery wont open/work. But one thing that does work is V1 of the pandora battery. Not sure about V2, but i used V1 and it worked.

sorry for reviving this but
im having that exact problem, also i cant install fw 1.50 from pandora cos it laways gives me a "psar panic error" and i know that the pbp file is ok, so..
is that method you say true? can you be more specific?
ive tried everything from the soft side and i cant make it work, when i try to use unbricker v3 it always says "psar decode error" in the same point..
thanks in advance if somebody know what to do with this problem..

I had the partitions messed up. I had to make a nand dump of my psp before writing someone else's nand dump. Unbricked after that with pandora and used my nand dump to restore the IDStorage keys.
