if u have a prob with trojans and such then try running spybot S&D and that should clear up many of those things

That or you have way too many programs on your system that you have it loading at startup which will slow you way down. Also Windows has a bunch of things that it automatically loads on startup which if not used can be unchecked and not loaded.

PS by chance is your Symantec antivirus scanning your system at startup?

If part of auto protect is to scan at startup then yes, it will slow it down quite a bit.

Well, first off, get rid of this.

C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwsoemon.exe

Second, you can shut these down and not worry.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE
C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\SDTrayApp.exe
C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\svcntaux.exe
C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\swdsvc.exe

Fix the following.

O2 - BHO: MyWebSearch Search Assistant BHO - {00A6FAF1-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\1.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL
O2 - BHO: &Yahoo! Toolbar Helper - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - C:\PROGRA~1\Yahoo!\Companion\Installs\cpn0\yt.dll
O2 - BHO: mwsBar BHO - {07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL
O2 - BHO: ads_optimizer - {26E45419-7205-4fac-BBFE-174BC7337A79} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsv61.dll
O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\ssv.dll
O2 - BHO: rightonadz browser optimizer - {971C3384-F75E-4562-95B3-CBE7417529BC} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gzmrotate.dll
O9 - Extra button: Spyware Doctor - {2D663D1A-8670-49D9-A1A5-4C56B4E14E84} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdocvw.dll

After this, boot into safe mode, run a virus scan, followed by an Ad Aware and Spybot Scan.

DoubleDwn posting is great do that cause it seems you still got some virus and spyware problems. What I do on all my computers to get a faster startup is get rid of all clutter. I go to run type MSCONFIG, then under startup and services tabs get rid of any program that I dont recognize. Of course you have to be familiar with the programs and their file names. But for example, click on the box that says to hide all microsoft services, you need them. Then look at what is left. I personally do not startup my zonealarm security suite when I startup my system; then if I am going online, I turn it on.
If you have vista this is even easier, vista has a system that lets you choose what programs are going to start in startup and it blocks other programs from loading without you permission. For security I think vista is #1, but its compability with games and other software sucks.
If this does not solve your problem, you definitely have a virus problem which you need to take of.

Also, forgot to say, a program that helped me alot when my internet and computer was slowing down is System Mechanic 7, really does help and totally worth the price. It optimizes you hard drive, RAM, internet connection, startup, everything. You can find it at best buy or www.iolo.com

No problem........glad its working better. Make it a habit to do a spyware and adware scan at least once a month. It will keep those nasty programs from slowing you down in the future.
