Ok. So here goes. I just formatted my flash1 accidentally while in recovery mode. No big deal... Just erased my current settings and stuff.
However, whenever I go back to the xmb, my psp gets rid of the wallpaper. For instance, I'm playing a game on the psp, then press the home button and return to the xmb. When I do that, my psp wallpaper is gone...

You think I should? So I should just go toggle usb flash0 and delete the two files there? Or should I just go to recovery and format flash1 again?
Well, I went back to that thread, I posted that doing a full downgrade then upgrade worked, but I look at it now and im not sure how that worked. I guess doing a full Flash1 format works, format Flash1 if it doesnt, try the upgrade/downgrade.

Man... I wish I didn't have to do all of that. That is a huge hassle. I did that already. I wonder what file it is.

I googled "psp wallpaper not working" and got to a forum and the guy told me to toggle flash1, and create two folders. I did that, and problem fixed! Thanks though man.

No problem dude. Ok here is exactly what I did.
Go into recovery mode
Advanced/ Toggle USB Flash1
In Flash1 Root, create folder called "vsh" (without the quotes)- There should also be a folder called registry there.
Then open up the new vsh folder you made.
Create another folder called "theme"
Disable USB Flash1
Exit recovery
Set image as background.
Apparently, the wallpaper is converted to a bmp and saved in flash1/ vsh/ theme. But formatting the flash1 doesn't create that folder.
