on the windows task manager window, my cpu usage is always high, probably from my processor. and when i go to processes, the cpu collum has a list of numbers, which im guessing is the percent its using. amd the system and system idle process is always there. oh and the rundll32.exe, what do those do? and are they essentials to running the windows os and stuff? and on my computer i always get theese things about view manager, whats that do?
To find out what process is what, you'll need this it's called processlibrary quick access,once installed open task manager and beside each process will be a blue circle with an i in the centre,clicking on the blue circle will bring up a webpage & tell you what that process is,it's not hard to figure out if that process can be terminated as it'll become obvious what they are here's some examples:
jusched = java update schedule
SPO.exe = speedbit optimizer
DVDtray = HP external dvd unit
PDVDServ.exe = power dvd software
etc,etc
EDIT: for the most part your cpu usage should be at idle as once a task like a webpage or program has been launched & it appears after loading cpu usage should drop back to 2-10% whether or not you use windowblinds etc,objectdock,cursor xp,antivirus,realtime spyware scanner etc,so if your cpu is constantly working there is a program running that perhaps should not be or is uneeded & should be disabled a program like xp's index service etc
