Hello, i have just flashed my hitachi 47dj using the C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth firmware and it says the flash was 100% successful but the stealth part wasn't. Has anyone any ideas why this would've happened and/or how to sort it?

Thanks in advance to any help.

I don't know why you had the problem but someone else had a different problem but with the same firmware! I have recently flashed two 47djs with Maximus-GaryOpa 2.3 rev2 and iXtreme 1.2rev2 and they flashed perfectly. Maybe you could restore the drives's firmware and then flash with one of those.

Incidentally, the 47djs were very noisy, is yours?

Thanks i might try that then. Is that firmware stealth too?

My 47dj drive is actually pretty quiet compared to my brothers 46 drive and his seems to scratch some of the games. Is this a problem with the 46's do you know? Thats one of the reasons i'm flashing the drives.

Yes both are but it might be worth going with iXtreme 1.2ver2

I can only think your brother's has a dodgy laser!

Think i'll try that one then, thanks.

Yeah i thought as much about the laser so i've just ordered him a new dvd drive, got a new 47dj on ebay for 20 pound, thought this would be handier than changin the laser.

Thanks for your help.

I've never done this but I know you need your old drive key which should now be in your backup folder from when you flashed the drive. I think it is called key.bin but someone else will need to tell you how to do it unless you can find a tutorial here...
