I've been told that in order to play games from my memory card (and therefore have the ability to download games rather than buy them), I would have to downgrade my custom firmware. However, i have also been told that in order to do this I would need a normal bigger PSP.
Is this corect?
Is it impossible to play games from a memory card without the need for a phat PSP?
Also, I've also read in various places that although the Slim and Lite PSP supports a TV out link allowing you to play it on a TV, this only works on a HDTV, and not on a normal tv.
Again is this correct, and is there anyway of outputting a Slim PSP on a normal tv?
Thanks in advance for any advice

don't know the last 2 questions because i don't own a slim, but for the first one you don't need a fat psp.buy the UNIVERSAL UNBRICKER V3 or borrow it.you could use the fat psp if you want but you can buy it.virtually, there's no possible way to play games on slim without getting a universal unbricker v3(v2 would do fine but it doesn't show onscreen instructions)so you buy the universal unbricker v3 or you either buy a psp which is hacked.up to you.when you need problems on installing, then ask.

no. official 3.71 can't run the universal unbricker.
as for the original questions, i'll answer them because i have a psp slim. yes, you need a fat psp to downgrade the psp slim. the universal unbricker is made on the fat psp.
the tv output works with any tv. BUT if you want to play games on it, then you need the component cables and a HDTV.

you can't create the universal unbricker on your psp slim. you NEED a fat psp to create it.
the universal unbricker will install 3.71 official OR 3.71 m33-2 custom firmware on ANY psp. doesn't matter what firmware is on it.

The PSP Slim's TV output should work fine for the menu's, images, and possibly the music player (have not personally tried that one) on a normal tv (using the correct cable)
The PSP Slim's TV output will not work for games as they are outputed in a progressive scan format. (Does not necessarly mean HDTV, but excludes most tv's.) If your TV supports progressive scan, then you can use the TV out feature fully.
Hope this helps.
PSP Slim 3.60 + Hardmod Battery = 3.71 M33-2

Hi,
Can someone explain it to me: If we can't create Universal Unbricker on a slim but we can use one created on any fat psp, why can't someone simply give the image dump of this universal unbricker (raw disk like iso), so we can write it on our memory stick.
Is the reason for this, we need a modified battery as well?
Thanks.

one, you need pandora's battery no matter what. and two, it's illegal distribute the files. that's why people made easy installers. it makes the files for you, not give you ready made files.
