It isn't possible, because the PS2 has to recognize the drive inside the system using the ethernet adapter connection or through an external harddrive bay.The PS2 makes calls to the ethernet adapter, and if there is no connection with the harddrive then it will return with an invalid call. The only way I can actually see this being accomplished is by creating a shared connection, which probably won't work since most applications built for running games off the harddrive are internal hardware related.USBAdvance is an external loader, but this doesn't mean much also since it uses the external enclosure which reacts like a harddrive bay for the ps2.Creating a shared connection is possible, but getting the ps2 to recognize the harddrive through a shared connection on a PC is impossible, unless your working with a harddrive in the ps2.It would make the transfer rate so slow also it wouldn't be worth playing as there would be alot of packet loss in the connection. Also when a harddrive reads the images it reads in MB(megabytes) when you use an ethernet connection it reads in the KB(kilobytes),which is a huge difference when you look at it.Using a shared connection with a game system has been done before, and the results are extremely slow.Just use the ps2 game system,as the hardware inside is designed to work with ps2 games. Why waste time messing with your PC when you can just use your PS2.The only solution to do what you want is to run an emulator, which doesn't really come close to running images off the actual system.Look at PS2 emulators, because this is actually the only way I can see a PC being able to run PS2 games from a PC harddrive.

I'm not sure that I agree with L-Burna... completely.

Another option could be copying the ISO file from a network device to the HDD and then launching the ISO from the HDD after the copy is complete. Perhaps a loader could even be designed to list all of the ISO files on the network device for selection?

If anyone has ever done this, then please post your method! In the meantime, I will attempt and provide an update in the future.

the TC wants to stream the games thru lan. not copy games and store it to the ps2 hdd.

best thing to do is just get a hefty size hdd and put it in the ps2. streaming games will most likely result in unbearable lag. look at the gamecube streaming.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .
