OKay, i got Swap Magic on a V.4 PS2, im burning DVD games, and they work, but the picture is messed up,
first, the picture is up too high, i cant see the bottom of the screen (i.e. ammo, life gauge...) and video cut scenes are horrendous. they skip and stutter and basically are unwatchable.
one more thing off topic, if i got a game in french, can i make it in english?
Sounds like your playing a PAL game on a NTSC machine.
Sometimes patching the ISO with the y-fix will help, but I have found it not to fix the screen at all with Swap magic.
Try to use only Multi-Ps2 games or ones with the PAL/NTSC selector.
There are some games some people have converted the language, but not many, you would have to do a search. Better again to just find your own language or a multi-language.
thanks man! i got a PAL to NTSC converter, did the Y-Fix, its almost perfect, the cutscenes are a lot better, but still a little choppy. could it just be the laser in my PS2 (its old and doesnt like CD-R's at all...)

well, ive improved the video a little more, the y fix helped, but cut scenes are still skippy. not as bad, but still skippy.
now im having trouble with normal NTSC games. one im trying to burn wont even get recognized by the ps2/SM3, and the other has dreadfully long load times, and skippy video AND audio during the game. help!
I got an NEC ND1300a burner, using alcohol, various speeds, 2x to 16x, on Sony DVDs which i think are one of the recomended ones. I got one of the games working fine, ive downloaded all drivers, so well see...
