Never tried this but have heard nothing but good and also free. I think FixVTS is great too. Just substitute DVDFabHDDecrypter for DVDFabDecrypter, that's the latest version: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154

If they are indeed personal DVDs they have no protection on them and won't require any decrypting. You can use Nero by itself or I'd suggest ImgBurn.

I just prefer ripping them to the HDD first and running them through FixVTS before I burn.

We shall go to the end,we shall fight in France,we shall fight on the seas and oceans,we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,we shall fight on the beaches,we shall fight on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,we shall fight in the hills;we shall never surrender

as you say, they are personal dvds you might also like to run them through tmpgenc dvd author , and use the chapter cut edit function just to clean some of those frames out that you dont really need. I started using it to edit my skydiving footage.Found its very easy to use
